Kotor is a tiny coastal town in Montenegro that normally boasts a population of just 13,000, but can host an additional 10,000 when cruise ships are in port.
We visited Kotor for the day on our 28-day Mediterranean cruise on the ms Eurodam.
Our favorite part of Kotor? I'll tell you this- it wasn't the city itself, although it's charming.
The sail into the port is absolutely beautiful. It's about an hour ride in from the open ocean, and the passageway is flanked by fjords.
We'd been warned that the ride in would be spectacular, so we set our alarms for 6 a.m., grabbed some hot coffee and watched from the front of the ship.
